crunchyroll today announced the list of celebrities who will participate in the seventh annual edition of the crunchyroll Anime Awards, scheduled for March 4, 2023 in Tokyo. This includes Mexican-American film director Robert Rodríguez; actor Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things, Pinocchio); WWE Superstar Zelina Vega; Juju Smith-Schuster, National Football League (NFL) Kansas City Chiefs player, streaming stars and more.

For creators, it’s boundless inventiveness and freedom of expression, where they can conceive truly iconic and original worlds and characters.”said Robert Rodriguez, award-winning writer and director of iconic films like Sin City and, most recently, an episode of The Mandalorian. “Anime is a melting pot for new ideas and perspectives in the world of entertainment. So I’m very excited to celebrate the winners who will be honored at the crunchyroll Anime Awards in Japan”.

- Jacob Bertrand, actor (Cobra Kai).
- Juju Smith-Schuster, Receiver for the Kansas City Chiefs of the National Football League.
- Robert Rodriguez, film director, screenwriter, producer, cinematographer, editor, and musician (Desperado, From Dusk Till Dawn, Alita: Battle Angel)
- Roland, Japanese nightclub host, businessman, and television personality.
- Zelina Vega, WWE star.
- Sykkuno, one of the biggest streamers on YouTube Gaming (with over 9.8 million followers).
- Valkyrae, one of the biggest streamers in the world (13 million followers) and co-owner of 100 Thieves.

So for me to present an Anime Award to some of the best shows in the world, that’s the best of the best.”said Juju Smith-Schuster, receiver for the NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs.
The awards crunchyroll Anime Awards honor the creators, musicians, and actors within the film and streaming industry who fuel the global love for anime. This year’s nominees represent genre excellence across more than 30 anime studios, eight streaming platforms, more than 50 series and movies, and celebrate more than 50 voice actors.
The Anime Awards will be held at the Grand Prince Hotel New Takanawa in Tokyo on Saturday, March 4, 2023, with a live ceremony hosted by renowned voice actress Sally Amaki and popular animator Jon Kabira that will bring together the creators and talents behind the favorite productions of the anime world.
