Dragon Ball Super: Chapter 92 of the manga explains what happened to Majin Buu after the Moro saga

Dragon Ball Super has embarked on a truly amazing project. The movie “Super Hero”, written by Toriyama and adapted for the big screen by Toei Animation, is now part of the manga canon, since Toyotaro is in charge of sharing some of the most important passages of the plot. This publication begins with the pending fight between Piccolo and Gamma 2. The android thought that he had eliminated the namekian, but the latter went into hiding to follow him in secret and thus discover what the plans of the Red Patrol were. The criminal organization now seeks to create new androids and thus eliminate the z fighters.

Those who have already seen the movie know that Goku, Vegeta and Broly do not intervene in the story because they are training on Beerus’s planet. For this reason, Piccolo goes to visit the teacher Karin to get the hermit’s seeds and thus be able to fight against the new threat that was about to arrive.

What happened to Majin Buu?

Interestingly, in the dialogue he has in the temple, he reveals that Gamma 1 and Gamma 2 had a very similar power level to Android 17 and 18. This is because Dr. Hedo has used his ancestor’s technology to create a their own androids.

But the great threat is not these two, but one that is in the incubator: Cell Max. The new version of Cell will not need evolutions to become strong, but from birth he will have the ki of a powerful fighter. For this reason, Piccolo needs allies to face the Red Patrol.

Majin Buu is one of those mentioned, but is immediately discarded as he fell into hibernation after the events in the Moro saga. “And Son Ghan? You always say that if he wants to, he can be the strongest on Earth, right?” Karin comments. “The way he is now, he’s useless,” Piccolo replies angrily at his disciple’s lack of training.

At the end of the episode, we see that the fighter has an interesting idea: call Dende to see if his race has a new power level. If he’s already seen the tape, he won’t be surprised when Piccolo achieves a new transformation called Piccolo Orange.
