Dragon Ball Super has recalibrated the scale of power with the introduction of Bills, the God of Destruction, and the revelation of the existence of higher beings such as angels and Zeno Sama. The Saiyans came together to endow Goku with a new level of power, Super Saiyan God, recognizable by his red hair, to confront this deity.
Since then, manga and anime have not ceased to amaze with more powerful characters. Hit, for example, proved to have a deadly attack but poor stamina. On more than one occasion, the Saiyans faced this character.
Only at the end of the Power Tournament saga would we see the transformation of the anime. Toppo, the candidate to be God of Destruction, showed that he had stored a huge ki that had the same aura of the gods, but he was knocked out of combat after receiving fully the self-destructive power of Vegeta.
Jiren, the last survivor of universe 11, was the one who grew the most along with Goku. While Kakarot was reaching Ultra Instinct, his rival unleashed all of his anger to reach a similar level of power. Both almost completely destroy the combat arena.
How was the scale of power in the anime after “Super Hero”?
In 2018 the anime broadcast was closed but the manga continued with more stories. The Tournament of Power wasn’t the last saga, as Toyotaro stepped up with two new arcs: Moro, the planet-eater, and Granola, the last survivor of the Cereal race.
To explain who is the strongest fighter we will eliminate the deceased: Moro, Gas Heata and Cell Max. These three powerful fighters needed to be beaten by more than one Saiyan, so they are really strong. However, we will not focus on the protagonists.
In fifth place, there would be Broly, that powerful character who almost destroyed the Earth in the 2018 movie. Actually, he could be number one but he has no control over his own ki and suffered a lot against Vegeta super saiyan blue.
Fourth place goes to Piccolo. In the movie “Super Hero” he got his new transformation, Piccolo Orange, which gave him enough strength to stop Gamma 1 and 2; In addition, he maintains the classic powers of Namekians, such as becoming giant.
Third place goes to Gohan. For many years he has been out of Akira Toriyama’s attention, but in the last film he managed to unleash a new level of power called Gohan Beast Mode. This is not the classic berserker mode, since he still had control over his body.
His hair turned silver, like his father’s, but his pupils were red, perhaps from anger at seeing his partner Piccolo fallen in combat. The second place we give to Vegeta, but we must clarify that he is in some aspects above Goku.
In the manga he has shown to have controlled his anger and hunger for power, to become a disciplined fighter. He doesn’t have Ultra Instinct, but he has a strange transformation called Mega Ego, where by receiving hits, he becomes much stronger.
Finally, we have Goku as the king of Dragon Ball Super fighters. Unfortunately, it is not the last version we saw in “Super Hero”, but we put it in this place because of his performance against Moro.
The character has never before been seen to create a gigantic version of himself with just his ki. Thanks to this technique and with the help of a defeated Vegeta, he managed to break the gem from Moro’s face and thus prevent the Earth from being consumed. It should also be mentioned that during the Granola saga, he managed to take a few hits from Gas Heata.
bonuses: There is a character who has an uncertain power level, but who is really terrifying. We are referring to Freeza, who appeared at the end of the Granola saga to defeat the Heata brothers with a single blow with the transformation of him Black Freeza.
He also managed to beat Goku and Vegeta, but these two were already quite weakened. Will Frieza be on a higher level than Goku’s Ultra Instinct version? We will have to wait for the premiere of the next manga saga to find out more about it.
