Broly, the powerful Saiyan who was supposed to rival Goku and Vegeta, doesn’t seem to be as strong as expected. He debuted in Dragon Ball Super with the premiere of the 2018 film and reappeared in the tape “Super Hero”. Unfortunately, after the fight against Gogeta, we have not seen him in action again.
The character appeared briefly in the 2022 film when it was revealed that Goku had taken him to Bills’ planet for training. Despite the fact that both Saiyans have already fought there with all his power, they wish that the fighter would not release all his power, perhaps so as not to awaken the god of destruction.
How powerful is Broly really?
In chapter 93 of the manga it is briefly explained what happens with the character. So far, he fails to master his ki and his anger. During his stay on the planet Vampa, the character learned to fight against powerful creatures, but he did it thanks to the fact that he combined the power of Ozaru and his destructive ki.
Just seeing his father dead, he releases that berserker power that gives him a green ki, very different from Ultra Instinct or Mega Ego. However, he manages to withstand Gogeta’s blows.
Whis seems to hold the key to making the Saiyans even stronger. It is true that the more hits they receive, the more fighting spirit they gain, but the more important is meditation or mind training.
Vegeta comments that they have trained the body enough, but in full combat they waste a lot of energy and power. To take advantage of 100% of their potentials they must relax their bodies and minds.
The angel from universe 7 responds in surprise at such a statement, since it is just the training they need to catch up with Jiren, Moro and Granola. If broly would train his self-control and learn to master his ki, he might become the strongest fighter in the universe.
